Kith and Kin

Kith and Kin group: activities where both kin carers and kin kids participate in activities and events together.

Our support workers will work with the whole family, carers and young people to facilitate issue based discussion sessions which will promote communications and break down barriers between the generations, this will let them build better communication and understanding between each other, to acknowledge the issues facing them both, to reduce isolation and cope with the stigma facing them, and identify activities which they can both participate in with fun and laughter.

Intergenerational Events: Dates for these will be published within our event calendar,  we aim to hold around 4 per year in the evening from 6.00-8pm

These include a theme i.e. Easter:  Easter bonnet making, decorate eggs, make Easter cakes.  Christmas: Wreath making, Christmas Card making.  All the family are involved in these events, we have hot food and refreshments and often end with a game of bingo. The picture is a trip to Gulliver’s World.

Summer trips/activities:

Through the summer school holidays there will be days out, i.e. to a farm, family day at Southport, fun days at Croxteth Park and much more.  We ask you to bring a packed lunch and clothes suitable for our English weather
